My cuties ready for church :) (notice Braydens milk mustache ) !!!
A few minutes later (while mom is getting ready). This is artwork with PERMANENT sharpie markers that they found in the computer drawer . ( I didn't know they were there )
They covered SO much ground in 10 minutes you have no idea !!!
I changed there ruined clothes but I couldn't get the marker off there skin so they went to church like this !! :)
No questioning who is the culprits .... they didn't hide there evidence very well. Hey Bradyen , do you think we are in trouble !!???
The ironic thing is that we JUST repainted the basement 2 days ago !! Of course they couldn't have done this before we painted ...... they just had to do it right after !!!! So we called the painter to come back out ..... Does anyone know how you can get permanent marker off of headboards , comforters , or treadmills !!???

oh my goodness! Looks like you have a few picasso's on your hands =)
Oh man Katie......they are too cute though...even when they are in TROUBLE!!!!!!!!!!!
You'll have to share your tips about cleaning it up. I'm sure a few of us will be posting similar pictures in the future!!!!!
At least it was markers and not poop...Benjamin used feces to decorate when he was about 2!!!!
Oh, man! Repainting the walls is no fun, but at least it can be corrected. . . but the Sharpie on their skin?? I'm guessing that's gonna be there a while!!!!
That is too funny. They had a good time with those markers.
Andrea
Oh man...they are lucky they are cute!! And they work fast too. Good luck with the clean up!
OH DEAR GOD!!!!!
Glad you can kinda find humor in it!! They are just so cute!!!
No tips on permanent markers.......Oh, wait, just get new!:>)
OMG! Note to self...hide everything!
Oh my goodness Katie!! Oh man, did you have to pray for patience?? I would have!! It is kind of funny...but, oh my, what a mess! :)
I know when I was a teacher we would use rubbing alcohol and/or nail polish to remove sharpie's from laminated posters. I'm not real sure if it would work on the furniture, but you could try?!!?
Will it come off of skin??? I'll have to ask around...
At least you have a good sense of humor!!! :) :)
Oh Dear! What a mess! However, if you check out the scribbles it actually looks like they were writing their letters! I see a Y and a B and an E! Someone's been practicing! :) Good luck getting all of that out...I don't know how you'd go about getting it all out, sorry.
Egads - that's too funny, well, at least from my seat.
Kerri and Ruby
I guess this is what I have to look forward to. Nora is 16 months old and is just beginning to be interested in pens and pencils.
You have four beautiful children and are blessed even when they share their artisic abilities with you.
Pam
Oh my! Well, the look on their faces is just priceless! They still have the "I don't see what the big deal is" look on their faces! Too cute!...but too bad for your walls and furniture!
OH NO DOES THING BRING BACK MEMORIES. Alec did the SAME thing when he was this age on our NEWLY painted walls as well! Rubbing alcohol or fingernail polish MIGHT work but those are your best options at this point. I am sooooo sorry. But, I will tell you, that one of ALec's scribbles he put on a wall close to the couch and I KEPT it, yup, still there. The couch covers it and I thought it would be funny to keep it there. I know, I am a weirdo. I hope you can get it out!!! But, they are still such cuties...they are just ARTISTIC cuties now:-)
SOOOO been there! How good of you to take the pics to laugh about it "someday"!
First, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser may save you from calling the painter back. It saved me when my son thought the dry erase marker could be erased off any wall... many smiley faces covered my house, inside and out! I left one as a reminder. Second, I am still laughing out loud! What angels!
Oh my! I have followed your blog for a very long time and have a Guatemalan cutie about the same age as your twins (my daugher was born on 12/13/2005). I have often thought how my Adriana looks so much like your Arianna, and now I know that have more in common than their looks! My Adriana used a Sharpie on our computer desk just last week, and I had some success with the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Give it a try! Good luck!
Oh Yikes! Super Yikes.. we've had a few of these...but fortunately never permanent.. altho the scissors have forever been banned from my nearly 6 year old dd's school bin as she recently cut off all her hair with craft scissors (ugh!) :) Baby wipes OFTEN work wonders .. not sure if it's whatever (baby oil) that might make it work it's wonders.. Oxyclean is also a great staple to try.
For ink: the Queen of clean recommends denatured alcohol (this is Linda Cobb - not me :) ) But if the paint is new and clean, it maybe easiest to repaint... pain, but in someways but maybe most effective.. wishing you the best!
Oh my! What aspiring artists you have:) Maybe we can shift their artistic skill to a new medium..may playdough:) I have no idea how to get any of that clean. I love the looks on their faces...so innocent and annoyed that Mom put a stop to their fun. Remember the joys of toddlerhood:) Love ya!
Oh my goodness!
I'm extremely impressed with your calmness.
Oh no! Permanent markers. You seem very calm and to have a sense humor about it. I guess what else can you do. I read abou tyour dilemma the other day, but did not have a chance to comment.
I have been using these wipes called Stain Stomper and they have worked great on carpet and fabrics. You can try OxiClean or Shout Advanced on the comforter. This might sound crazy but sometimes hairspray takes things out.
Good luck! I love those innocent looks. Did you get the marker off the kids?
How funny!! Note self - hide and rehide!
Double trouble- but seriously, Double cute, even when they are naughty. They seem so creative ;)
mr clean magic eraser for surfaces and hairspray for the clothes...good luck!
Oh my!! Gabriella loves to draw on the walls, so this is a great reminder that I need to make sure the markers are out of her reach. :)
Speechless WOW - I'd say its unbelievable how much damage 2 little people can do in 10 minutes, but since you have the pics to prove it I guess it is believable. Glad you can appreciate the humor in the situation. They are so cute.
