We are having the twins a party with friends on Sunday but decided to have a little birthday lunch today on day of their birthday .

This day is always bittersweet. Happy for me but sad for their birthmom. This is a little poem I wrote that sums up my feelings .

DAY GONE BY

There is not a day gone by
that i do not look at the sky
and wonder where you are
are you really far ??

'Cause in my heart you feel so near
like all the people I hold so dear.

May you know
that as they grow
so does their love for you
the one from who they grew.
For It was you who gave your heart
which is the most important part

Your gift to us is not something
we can not repay
so all we can do is pray
pray that you know they are loved
just like the love from our Father above.
