Not trying to make you cry ......

Okay this is the wildest thing that happened to the crew. One day they were in the middle of working on the kitchen and 2 little kids about 4 and 5 yrs old walked to the ranch by themselves(from 10 miles away ). They asked Homero and the crew if they could come pray for there dad because he was dying. The guys couldn't go right then because of the project but finally were able to go there at about 8 pm that night. Homero had never been there and it was dark and rainy and Mark said the roads were worse than the logging roads in the US. So as soon as Homero felt like he might be close to the house he would honk his horn and if no one came out he would move to the next house. Finally they came to the right house. Mark said you walked in and it was dirt floor with no electricity. The smell of urine was intense. The little kids bring them to a corner where there dad is laying half dead. Mark said they had to light a candle to see him .... he looked like a skeleton. So they proceed on to pray for him but quickly realize that he only speaks Quiche. So his little kids translated from spanish to quiche as he accepted the Lord. Can you imagine .... God used them as little instruments to save there dad as he was dying. They think maybe he had a stroke but they are not sure.

You can't see anything on the video since there was not electricity in the house. But you can hear the talking .

PLEASE PRAY FOR THIS WHOLE VILLAGE BUT SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS LITTLE BOY. MARK SAID HE IS VERY SICK WITH PNEUMONIA BUT THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO ACCESS TO MEDICAL CARE.

Mark and the team had the honor of going to visit a small village called Pixcay . Its just outside of SAN ANDRÉS SAJCABAJÁ, QUICHÉ which is where Homero lives. Homero goes a visits them once a month and brings them corn. It is a very poor village and Mark said alot of the kids were sick. Most of the husbands have left for the city ( which is 7 hours away) so these women are alone with all these kids and VERY little food . There was not a dry eye among the team that day... so sad .

Some more videos of the Ranch. What our church mission team did this trip is built a kitchen so they have a bigger place to feed all the kids. Mark said some the the kids walk for up to 10 miles everyday to get fed. Most of them have at least on parent but don't have any food. God is so good. How we found out about this ranch is a few months ago one of Marks work contacts called me to tell me that a guy from Guatemala was speaking at her church and she knew I would be interested. So I went and listened and thats when I met Homero. I then invited him to come speak at our church and the rest is history.
